Consumer received nhtsa recall 04v357000 concerning cam shaft position sensor. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for recall repairs and the dealer refused to honor the recall. Mechanic informed the consumer that the cam shaft position sensor was not defected. *Ak. Recall states engine light came on, and there is a metal burning smell. The consumer received recall 04v357000 concerning cam shaft position sensor, and recall 02v131001 regarding air bags. The consumer took vehicle to the dealership, and mechanic claimed the number on parts did not match the parts needed to repair the vehicle, and the consumer had to pay for parts before ordering. *Ak smoke and fumes had come from the hose and the consumer stated that coolant leaked. Nhtsa recall: 04v357000 subject: camshaft position sensor. The mechanic replaced the camshaft position sensor. However, two weeks later the check engine light appeared on the dashboard and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer for inspection.
