Reading the numbers
Across the 11 model years of the Pontiac Bonneville in this data, 2000 ranks 3rd by complaint volume — 1998 draws the most.
Filings have fallen off, 8 in the last three years against 17 in the three before. That is normal as a generation leaves the road.
The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 65,000 miles.
In owners' own words
There were no events leading up to this failure. Both rear windows just suddenly quit working. We took the vehicle to the Pontiac dealership and, of course, they repaired them. $300.00 Per window. Sounds a little much. I've noticed several other vehicles, same year, same model have had same problem. Gm should absorb some of the expense, wouldn't you think? We have loved this vehicle up to this point. Visibility
