Reading the numbers
Across the 9 model years of the Dodge RAM in this data, 2000 draws comparatively few complaints; 1996 is the outlier year.
Filings have fallen off, 5 in the last three years against 35 in the three before. That is normal as a generation leaves the road.
The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 52,500 miles.
In owners' own words
Brake line on rear drivers side of the vehicle rubs against a rod in vehicle, causing a hole, 3/16th of an inch deep, to form in brake line. Dealer tied brake line to vehicle so that line would not rub against rod. Please provide any additional information/attachments. Service brakes, hydraulic
When putting on brakes real hard vehicle will pull to left. If turning just slightly left or right, vehicle will quickly go left or right. Consumer has to really watch the road. The rear bumper is 24 inches off the ground where as the front bumper is only 21 inches. Service brakes, hydraulic
Right front brakes would hang up. Whenever applying brakes, they would grab & pull hard to the right. Took to dealer at least 3-4 times for brake problem. Mechanic would not replace the brakes due to not able to duplicate the problem which was intermittent. Service brakes, hydraulic
