The contact owns a 2000 Chrysler LHS. The contact was driving 45 mph when the power steering failed and the front driver side control arm detached from the vehicle. While driving at normal highway speed the steering needs to be constantly corrected. The dealer analysis requires the replacement of the rack and pinion assembly due to internal looseness. Excessive play and wander in steering on my 2000 Chrysler LHS. 3 Trips to dealership, dealership blames alignment and tires. Have tried 3 alignments, and 2 complete sets of new tires.
