In owners' own words
My 2000 s-10 pickup anti-lock brakes have ben actuating at low sppeds since I purchased the truck new. Whne slowing to a stop, the system pulses the pedal if I hit a bump. The brakes also pulse when turing sharply into a parking space. Braking disatance is always extended when this happens. I have had several close calls. The dealer said that was the way it was supposed to operate. Service brakes, hydraulic · reported at 12 miles
Brakes locked up intermittently on twenty separate occasions when going over a bump in the road, causing vehicle to go into a slide, and resulting in extended stopping distance. Dealer has replaced abs module. However, problem still exists. After reinspection of vehicle dealer determined that vehicle performed as designed. Please provide additional information. Dt: contact stated the brakes on vehicle were defective. The rear caliper seal was ripped by rust, and the front brake pads were frozen in the caliper. The fluid ran out of the back brakes. The contact first noticed this in the spring, and he had to put on new brake pads. The contact wanted to report this because he did not want anyone to get hurt. *Ak Service brakes, hydraulic · reported at 40,200 miles
