Yesterday, nov. 22, I had a front end collision which resulted in my car being totalled. At the moment of impact the air bag on the passenger side deployed and inflated, but the air bag on the driver's side deployed but did not inflate. Consumer received recall#00v217000/ side air bags. On sept27,2000. Dealer and manufacturer stated there was no remedy available until april 2001. Consumer is very upset. Also, states that manufacturer is not assisting. In the meantime, dealer will not deactivate , and is driving an unsafe vehicle. Air bags
Recall 00 v 217 000/ air bag side impact sensor module: unable to get dealer michael hohl gmc; carson city, nv; phone# 775/883-5777 to honor manufacturer's recall. Dealer was contacted on several occasions, and still was unable to get recall resolved . Seeking help from nhtsa in this matter. Air bags
