In owners' own words

My 1995 Nissan Pathfinder has very little rust on the body anywhere but the frame is beyond repair because of rust. The back half of the frame is terrible. It rattles and shakes with every bump in the road. I had my mechanic look at it and he recommended that I should stay out of it for fear it would fall apart going down the road.Everything else on this vehicle is good as can be expected. Hate to give it up. Structure · reported at 200,400 miles
The contact owns a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken for routine maintenance when the technician advised that the frame was completely rusted and was deemed as unsafe to drive. The manufacturer was contacted but the contact had not yet received any response. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 147,000. The vin was unavailable. I own a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder xe with undercarriage frame rot. I paid $500 to have one section repaired but the remainder of the frame is in jeopardy of rotting as well. The truck still runs fine with 125,000 on it and I want to keep it but I believe Nissan should issue a safety recall. Nissan should either repair the frame or reimburse me the money I've paid. This is clearly a design flaw. Structure · reported at 115,000 miles
