The consumer requested that the dealer check the flow of the radiator but after the vehicle was picked up it overheated while driving, the vehicle was returned to the dealer where they replaced the thermostat and water pump and flushed the radiator, at this point the vehicle ran horribly and the consumer took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who found a strang substance clogging the cooling system . While traveling at 30mph temperature gauge went to hot, and vehicle completely died. Rep at dealership had vehicle towed to dealer, and they reported that wires had melted underhood which resulted in wiring harness needed to be replaced. *Ak recall 00v367 dealing with overheating related to the problem consumer had with vehicle, however dealer will not do any recall repairs due to mileage of vehicle. *Slc Engine and engine cooling
Recall # 00 v 367 000 concerning cooling system fan overheating. Consumer received recall letter. Took vehicle to dealer. Dealer said there was no problem at this time. Later, vehicle started to smoke, wires were burning and saw flames coming from radiator. Consumer feltthis was a direct result of recall repairs not being performed.
