Srs light stays on--bags never deployed-dealer wants $800+ to replace module. This is second complaint I've made on this subject. Reading about others on the www.Odyclub.Com website prompted this action. I'm afraid it will either deploy unexpectedly or not deploy when needed. I don't know if this is a takata recall or not. My srs light came on as I entered my neighborhood. I smelled a burnt smell. I parked under the car port and put the car in park. I was about to turn off the engine when the passenger side airbag deployed. It broke the windshield, the glove box and the rear view mirror. Air bags · reported at 209,422 miles
Consumer hit a deer with front end of vehicle, and airbags failed to deploy, in an separate incident vehicle was hit on left front bumper by another vehicle and airbags did not deploy, one year later the srs light comes on when the vehicle is cranked and will not go off until the switch is turned off.
