Reading the numbers
Across the 10 model years of the Chevrolet Lumina in this data, 1994 draws comparatively few complaints; 1995 is the outlier year.
Filings have fallen off, 18 in the last three years against 40 in the three before. That is normal as a generation leaves the road.
The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 114,656 miles.
In owners' own words
I notice smoke coming from the steering column, inside my car, quite often- at least 2 times a week. My brakes wear out faster than they should. I have to replace the driverside hub assembly kit every 3-6 months because it starts clicking then wears out the brakes if I don't get it done- at the cheapest 100 every time. Car has not been in a wreck and I do not know why it does this. Service brakes, hydraulic · reported at 159,000 miles
