The contact owns a 1990 Chrysler Imperial. The vehicle has an excessive amount of brake/hydraulic fluid leaking from the master cylinder. The failure began with the brake light illuminating whenever the brake pedal was depressed. The light would dim once the brake pedal was released. The failure still persists. The current mileage is 166,000 and failure mileage was 140,000. Service brakes, hydraulic · reported at 140,000 miles
While traveling and shifting transmission gear from park to reverse, brake pedal traveled to the floorboard, causing extended stopping distance. Consumer pumped hard the brakes to stop vehicle.Also there is a recall listed for the same type of problem, recall 96v099000. Consumer has contacted dealer, dealer has replaced parts. When the brakes were applied the pedal went to the floor which caused the vehicle to experience extended stopping distance. The dealer was notified. *Nlm the anti lock malfunctioned. The pedal moved slightly forward and was extremely difficult to push. There was a recall issued on another brand of anti lock brakes therefore the consumers did not apply. *Scc Service brakes, hydraulic · reported at 102,228 miles
