In owners' own words
The automatic collision system braking is engaging when the vehicle is in reverse and while it is raining. This occurs multiple times while trying to back the vehicle up during rain. This is dangerous for the passengers since they are abruptly thrown backwards without warning. The vehicle must be placed in "park" and then "reverse" multiple times until the collision braking stops malfunctioning. Forward collision avoidance
When backing up my car from the driveway during rain it continuously applies phantom braking making it impossible to move the car. Turned off the rear autobraking but it still doesnât help. Itâs very dangerous. This is the same case for all the electric vehicles manufactured by GM and reddit posts exist for Equinox EV, Blazer EV, Honda Prologoue, Acura ZDX Forward collision avoidance
Cruising at 65mph in moderate mixed traffic when vehicle began maximum braking with no action from me and no forward obstacles. Several following vehicles had to take drastic evasive action to avoid collision. Very lucky this resulted in no injury or damage. Could have been much, much worse. Forward collision avoidance
