Reading the numbers
Across the 13 model years of the RAM 1500 in this data, 2023 draws comparatively few complaints; 2014 is the outlier year.
Filings are rising — 298 in the last three years against 33 in the three before. For a vehicle this age that usually points to a wear-related failure owners are hitting now.
The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 17,000 miles.
In owners' own words
The truck has done this four times since 01/22/2026. While still moving slowly the truck will do this while going down the highway. One other safety issue was when I merged into traffic on the highway (You have to merge into the fast lane at this location) the truck wouldn't go past 4th gear approximately 40 mph with cars coming up on me at 70. All of these problems correct when I can get the truck restarted. Electrical system
experienced the exact same failure mode as Ram Recall 24V-729 and my truck and model year fall into the affected vehicle models however my VIN # was not included in the recall. My blinkers do not work as exactly described in 24V-729 and Ram refuses to take financial responsibility of this known issue and make me pay for this safety concern especially when its a known safety recall this year and model truck. Electrical system
Etorque and battery failure. Etorque was failing and coldbrook Mitsubishi said it was fine. 2 months later brought to Lee dodge/ram and told etorque bearing gone. By now 80k manufacturer warranty over 80k and not warranted despite me telling them before this mileage. This etorque should be recalled and paid for. This truck has been nothing but problems. I wonât buy anything from stelantis in the future! Electrical system
