Reading the numbers

Across the 6 model years of the KIA Telluride in this data, 2023 draws comparatively few complaints; 2020 is the outlier year.

Filings are rising — 213 in the last three years against 98 in the three before. For a vehicle this age that usually points to a wear-related failure owners are hitting now.

The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 14,500 miles.

In owners' own words

After 3 months, vehicle started showing intermittent warnings at startup related to multiple collision warning systems-- forward collision, blindspot sensors, rear cross traffic. Over a few weeks, it was no longer intermittent and occurred every time. Multiple ACD systems wouldn't function due to blind spot sensor failures. Multiple repair attempts and issue occurred again and dealer has been unable to repair. Electrical system
Driver instrument display is black, no information is displayed. It just happened when starting the car, no display. These LCD displays are dangerous. Go back to analog. I have NO information about anything going on with the car or it's speed. It's dangerous to drive. Multiple engine start/stop cycles do nothing. Electrical system
Upon starting the vehicle, the gauge cluster screen was and remained completely blank. No indication as to an error, no visual indicator was available as to my speed or the vehicle's status, and no problem lights were visible. The vehicle appeared otherwise operable, and the media control screen was fully functional Electrical system
