In owners' own words
Both types of errors have occurred multiple times. Sometimes, the forward collision warning system triggers when no obstruction is present. More frequently, the adaptive cruise control decelerates even when no car is nearby or the car in front of me has not decelerated. In both cases, depressing the accelerator pedal overrides the automatic braking and avoid an accident. Forward collision avoidance
Was driving 35-40 MPH.. no cars or objects in front of me. Vehicle automatically applied the brakes and almost brought me to a complete and abrupt stop. The vehicle behind me almost collided with me. This has happened multiple times.. with yesterday (5/24/24) being the worst. I also reported this to the Honda dealership where vehicle was purchased. Forward collision avoidance
While driving on the freeway and sometimes on city drive, I noticed a sound and a brake flash on our dashboard. Surprising because I am not stepping on my break. I let my wife also drive the car and the same observation was noticed. I cannot take a picture of it because I am driving. Such observation were noticed occasionally but what if we end up on a full stop while on a freeway? That's the worrisome part. Service brakes
