The contact owns a 2014 Fiat 500L. While driving on the highway at an unknown speed, the transmission failed and the engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to stateline alfa romeo Fiat (800 gold hill rd #101 in fort mill, sc) where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. 2014 Fiat 500 l: the transmission will not shift into the proper gear. Turning on the car and placing in d or r the vehicle hesitated and would not move. After retrying multiple times the car will eventually go into drive. The check engine and transmission warning indicators illuminated. Driving to go home, vehicle won't shift and unexpected direction and loss of power causing vehicle and myself to collide with light pole. Vehicle was a total loss. Gas pedal stuck and transmission had very slow selections. Vehicle had flashing control lights before accident occurred.
