The power steering keeps failing on me when I drive and sometimes stays off all day no matter how many times I restart the car. The first time this happened I was on the highway with my family and it did not come back untill I got home and restarted the car. The second time happened on my way to work around a corner and I almost went off of the road. Otherwise it keeps turning on and off on me every day (mostly off). Steering · reported at 135,300 miles
My 2008 Pontiac G6 is having severe steering wheel shaking. The steering wheel becomes stiff and starts shaking severely at about 30-40 miles per hour. It just turned over 50000 miles. The shaking of the steering in and out of power causes the car to swerve into the other sides of the road. Major safety issue that has been reported by many people. The contact owns a 2008 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that while the vehicle was idling, the steering wheel would move back and forth. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where the contact was informed that the power steering motor needed to be replaced.
