The contact owns a 2008 KIA Sedona. The contact stated that while driving 60 mph she lost power steering. She restarted the vehicle and resumed normal operation. The inability to steer the vehicle increased the risk of a vehicle crash. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for inspection and the technician replaced the throttle position sensor. The contact owns a 2008 KIA Sedona. Three hours after the vehicle was parked in the driveway, flames appeared from the rear of the vehicle. The fire department arrived and extinguished the flames. A fire report was filed. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not notified. The vin was not available. I replaced a blown 10 amp fuse on a dealer installed trailer wiring harness adapter. 15-20 Minutes later I noticed a fire coming from driver's side rear light assembly. Removed fuse, removed lighting assembly, put out fire. In looking at damage, trailer harness adapter was melted along with several wires attached to it. Foam bumper padding caught fire and was melted. No visible body damage. Electrical system · reported at 93,700 miles
