In owners' own words
The contact owns a 2007 Suzuki SX4. The abs air bag light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who performed a diagnostic test that located the failure in the passenger front seat. The air bag sensor would not deactivate while passenger was in the seat. 2007 SX4 has had the safety bag light on for the past 7 mos. I don't live near a Suzuki dealership, so finally had time to bring it to a dealership to get checked. They mentioned it's a faulty sensor and it would cost ~$1600 w/o labor. I have had the vehicle since nov. 06 And have 75k miles. No warranty will cover to replace. After 60,000 miles the airbags light comes on and passenger seat belt light comes on. Dealer states that passenger seat cushion needs to be replaced. A lot of Suzuki owners have the same problem after 60,000 miles. This is a safety hazards. Here is a link to the issue. This issue should be recalled.
