The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Aura. The contact stated that the vehicle was in park with the brakes depressed. As the brakes were released, the vehicle began to roll backward. The dealer diagnosed that the shift cable was fractured and would need replacing. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired and the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Car began to knock loudly on driver side front and pull to left when driving at speed , front struts broken & replaced a approx cost $700 5 days following that , car would not shift out of 1st gear or roll faster than 15 mph at 5 to 6000 rpm. Vehicle was towed twice and now waiting transmission rebuild due to well documented failure of gm wave plate in the 6 speed transmission, cost approx = $3500. Power train · reported at 94,000 miles
