The dashboard is sticky, chipping and melting resulting in a blinding glare on the driver side wind shield. The glare reduces and hinders visibility and it has become a safety concern and hazard. The dash and door panel are so soft that anytime I bump it with my nail or ring, a chunk of the dash comes out. This melting is a potential hazard for the function of the air bags. The contact owns a 2007 Lexus IS 250. The contact stated that the dashboard melted. The failure created a glare on the windshield that impaired the contact's visibility while driving in the daytime. The dealer stated that the dashboard needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 85,000. Approximately 3 years after purchasing this vehicle, the dashboard and the doors started to get very sticky. When I inquire about this with the dealer in march of 2012 I was told there was nothing they could do, that I needed to have it replaced at my own cost. The problem continues to get worse as the dashboard/doors are melting and are also cracking. Structure
