The contact stated the sensor was supposes to recognize when the passenger seat was occupied and activate the air bag but that was not the case. The vehicle was neither inspected nor repaired for the failure. The failure mileage was 62,000 and the current mileage was 73,000. 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara passenger side air bag light on. Dealer wants approx $2000.00 To replace seat bottom because sensor is built in. Light was coming and going now it is on all the time airbag system is now inop car was approx 1800 miles out of warranty. Now has approx 40,000 miles on it.
