Reading the numbers
Across the 3 model years of the Hummer H3 in this data, 2006 draws the most complaints of any of them.
Filings have fallen off, 12 in the last three years against 18 in the three before. That is normal as a generation leaves the road.
The median odometer reading at the time of complaint was 80,000 miles.
In owners' own words
Truck will shut off while driving or not start. When driving truck and it begins to shut off, menu will say, "reduced power." Then it will say, "stability system immobilized." The truck will not start up. The security icon on the dash will be lit up. After sitting and waiting for 10 mins or so, the truck will start and is able to be driven. This happens while driving on main streets, highways, back roads.. Etc. Electrical system · reported at 89,500 miles
I own a 2006 Hummer H3. My fan blower quit working. Upon investigation I found the blower motor resistor and the connector to be welded together. I had to replace both items because they were melted together. This has to be a fire hazard and after I googled it to figure out how to fix it I was shocked at the number of people who have had the same problem. I can not believe this has not been a recall issue. Electrical system · reported at 36,786 miles
