In owners' own words
The fuel gauge on our 2006 chevy trailblazer has failed along with the check engine light coming on resulting from numerous codes. The entire fuel pump/filter/sending unit has to be replaced (a $300 part) and the vehicle won't pass and inspection without it. Gm needs to recall this vehicle for this problem and refund owners who have spent money fixing the problem if they want to continue to stay in business. I was driving the truck and the fuel gauge was reading that there was gas in the tank. The vehicle died causing loss of power steering and power brakes. I was able to pull the truck to the side of the road with great effort. Had my wife or teenage daughter been driving the outcome might had been very different. After filling the gas tank the gauge went to e and never worked properly afterwards.
