In owners' own words
My 2005 GTO has strut rub with 20,000 miles on it. After many complaints to my dealership I can see that they are not concerned for mine or my wife's lives. They keep putting our service date back week after week. Both of the front tires are worn down to the metal belts on the inside wall. We are still trying to get assistance for this issue from anyone who will help before we are killed or someone else is. Suspension · reported at 1 miles
2005 Pontiac GTO owner, noticed slight wear on inside of front tires at 7500 miles. Rotated tires as needed, now at 24430 miles right front tire shows excessive cord exposure on inside, and left front shows extreme wear on inside. One set of rear tires already replaced (originally on the front) due to excessive cord exposure. This is a safety concern. Numerous cases already documented on several websites. Suspension
Noticed tires rubbing against struts on 2005 Pontiac GTO. Contacted dealership was told gm would cover an alignment, but possibly would not cover new tires. Gm informed to have alignment done to full positive camber, after complaints was reimbursed for tires, was told this would not be covered again as it was a maintenance issue. Had to have vehicle aligned again after 4 months due to rubbing again. Suspension · reported at 15,000 miles
