In owners' own words
First incident: engine will stop running when you hit a bump or let off the gas fast. Although intermittent this occurred numerous times. This causes vehicle to loose power steering, and power brakes. Took vehicle to local dealer for repair and per the Ford motor company hotline they "remove batt. & Air cleaner to acess wire harness to check for chafing none found at this time per hot line report # 5eye7001" Engine and engine cooling · reported at 15,503 miles
I have had my 2005 f-350 diesel towed to the dealer three times now for stalling and not starting back up. Each instance they show loss of oil pressure and blame me for not changing the oil every 3000 miles (recommended by Ford every 5000 - 7000 miles) and getting bad gas. They replaced 4 cylinders the first time, 2 cylinders plus a fuel cup the second and they are now working on the third. Engine and engine cooling · reported at 9,975 miles
2005 Ford diesel pickup bucks and jerks while under light load, I.E. Maintaining speed on an incline. (Mountain pass). Dealership and Ford is aware of problem for over a year. While driving on winter (ICY) roads, truck began bucking and broke traction sending truck out of control. Luckily I was able to drive out of it without contacting the vehicle passing me or roadside obstructions. Engine and engine cooling · reported at 14,000 miles
