Took car to dealer on march 18, 2009,after noticing a bumping when traveling down the highway. Dealer advised me steering was leaky and replaced line in the hose fp no. 30776291 (Pipe set) this did not solve the problem. (Invoice $368.93) On may 13, 2009, returned car to dealer - the leak still there. Dealer replaced - shaft seal leaking on rack fp no. 36002364-2 And fp no. 30741950-7 (Invoice $1425.96). Steering
2004 Volvo V70 will lurch, left rear door open warning light comes on, interior lights come on, warning triangle appears. This is accompanied by a loud thump, followed by a complete power down of the car. Very dangerous; could leads to deaths on highways. Apparently Volvo has known about problem for some time. 2004 Volvo V70 accelerated at high speed when placed on drive and consumer could not stop the vehicle using the brake. Consumer air bags did not deploy. *Ts the vehicle traveled over a cement barrier blowing out the two rear tires. The consumer had to turn off the vehicle's ignition to stop the vehicle.
