In owners' own words
My wife was driving home from work, said brake is failing, makes loud grindy, rattling noise when brake is applied. Once the car is turn off and back on, everything is back to normal. When I got home, i took the wheels off to check everything was ok, pads were almost new, which I replaced last year. Drove around for 10 miles no problem. This is a serious safety issue which Nissan/Infiniti should take care of. Service brakes
When driving vehicle suddenly makes a loud grinding sound and abs and brake light come on on gauge. When trying to break it is impossible. It will not stop. This has happened more than 6 times already. Thankfully I was not in traffic or collision and injury could have happened. In order to regain control you have to turn vehicle off to reset it. This problem may cause a severe injury or even death. Service brakes · reported at 110,000 miles
Stepped on brakes and pedal went all the way to floorboard with out stopping the suv. Suv finally stopped on speed bump a few feet away. Looked in the internet, there are other people with same problem. There is also a couple suing nissan for this very problem. I think nissan should be held responsible. The problem I understand is in the brake power booster. It should have being recall. Service brakes · reported at 105,000 miles
