In owners' own words

My car's speedometer started to give me the wrong speed and eventually just quit and is now stuck on 0. A little while after, the radiator gauge does not work either. It seems that the instrument cluster is slowing going out. We haven't fixed the instrument cluster yet because we have been trying to talk with the dealer and GMC about the problem, but they refused to fix it because we were just one person. 2004 GMC Envoy XL speedometer and tachometer no longer function.... This happen about 1 year ago and it continues to this day... I am reading online that there are other similar issues with the instrument panel. In my opinion this is without a doubt a safety related issue.... I should be traveling 35 miles an hour and the car registers 75 mph. Its never correct and the tach just stopped working. Electrical system · reported at 64,000 miles
The tachometer and speedometer do not work. While driving to work in a construction zone, my speedometer began malfunctioning. While traveling with other commuters, my speedometer read that I was traveling 85 mph. The tachometer has been out for several months. After calling the dealership, they informed me that this is common in my vehicle. Electrical system · reported at 75,000 miles
