(1) Driving on the new jersey turnpike I unintentionally ran over a small piece of shredded tire, it felt like I hit a pothole (2) as a result the passenger side-curtain airbag deployed, no damage to the exterior damage to the vehicle but it damaged the car's interior ceiling and passenger seats. I was driving down a normal street at 5:00pm with the front windows down. With no prior indication or warnings the side impact air bag deployed with a disorienting "pop", violently punching me in the left arm.
