The contact owns a 2003 Hummer H2. The windshield wiper motor failed after water built up under the cover and ruined the bearings. Nhtsa id#08v456000 campaign, visibility:windshield wiper/washer:motor is related to the failure. The front windshield wipers began working intermittently. The dealer stated that they have to repair the cover and the motor is at the owners expense. The failure mileage was 46,000. Visibility · reported at 46,000 miles
Windshield motor began running on its own. Wiper fluid began squirting on its own. Would not respond to control. Recall notice document id # 1197628 states the recall is to replace a cover over the motor to prevent it from failing....... When I took my truck to have the recall performed they changed the cover? : The contact stated the windshield wiper/washer motor failed. When the problem first started the wipers worked intermittently, now several months later they only work a few seconds at a time. There is a nhtsa recall, # 02v283000, regarding the windshield wiper/ washer: motor.
