In owners' own words

Consumer has the same problem as nhtsa campaigns # 03v327000: hazard warning switches that may experience solder joint cracking caused by rapid temperature transitions and the soldering process. If solder joint cracking occurs and results in an open circuit, the turn signals/hazard lamps become intermittent or inoperative. Dealership indicated your vehicle is not include in this recall due to the vin#. Exterior lighting
Turn signals work intermittently. This started about a year ago and now the hazard signal does it also. It seems to happen after I have driven several miles. I drive 55 miles one way to work and by the time I get close to my job they have stopped working. Also, I have never received any kind of notification on any recalls for this vehicle and I have read that there have been four total. Exterior lighting
I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand AM, blinkers intermittently worked flashers worked/didn'twork when the blinkers did work. Didn't seem to be related to weather or any other conditions. Took off front of car where radio was and moved wires connecting to hazard light, seemed to be a short in the wire, possible. Problem started about 6 months ago. Blinkers worked about 60% of the time. Exterior lighting
