Problems with vehicle's ignition switch. *Mr the consumer started to experience problems with the starter. The consumer would turn the key and nothing would happen. The service dealer told the consumer that nothing could be done unless it would not start for them. The problem recurred then the consumer received recall #04v036000. The dealer placed a kit in the vehicle but the problem continued. *Sc Electrical system
The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier. The contact stated that the fuse that controls the instrument control panel has consistently failed. Each month he is required to replace the fuse. He also cleans the fuses regularly. The dealer will be notified to diagnose the failure. The failure has occurred since the vehicle was purchased in 2001. The vin was not available. The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier. When inserting the key into the ignition the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that the failure occurred intermittently. Recall #04v036000 repairs were performed on july 5, 2004. Two years later the failure reoccurred. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure.
