In owners' own words
Had new tires put on because of uneven wear. Was told the cause of the wear was not due to misalignment of tires but because of worn ball joints. Tire dealer could not align tires. Did research on the internet and two items that seem to come up with the 2000 chevy Blazer are the bad contol arms/ball joints and bad 4 wheel drive computer module. Blazer has 42000 miles on it and is driven on good roads. Suspension
While driving and without warning headlights and dash lights will dim, resulting in poor visibility at night.*Ak dealer replaced headlamp switch, however problem still exist. Popping noise when turning right and applying brakes. Dealer could not duplicate problem. Vehicle has a squealing noise when cold. Dealer replaced belt and tensioner assembly. Suspension
Ball joints upper and lower replaced at 40k and 100k miles. Will be needing to be replaced again very soon at 140k miles. The replacement at 40k was a total failure of passenger side ball joints to wit: vehicle was incapacitated as wheel was left 'bent'. Fuel gauge fluctuated wildly if less than 1/3 tank of gas. Fuel pump failed. Suspension · reported at 140,000 miles
