Bought used 1999 Isuzu Trooper with 48,000 miles. Took it to mechanic because it had a problem starting. Discovered engine leaked more than 1 quart of oil per 1000 miles. Isuzu replaced engine just before 60,000 miles, but still has problem starting. Mechanic determined 3 or 6 fuel injectors are bad, and needed to be replaced. My 1999 Trooper threw a rod in the engine. It is not drivable. I have had the Trooper in the shop 3 times before with other problems, before the warranty was up. The dealer did not want to discuss the problem. In trying to find another engine I was told that this was a common problem and that it was very hard to find an engine. I have a 99 Isuzu Trooper that burns a lot of oil. I service it properly and take good care of it. Although it now has 64000 miles on it and is now out of warranty I think I need to report this. I have talked to my dealer and I am taking it in for some work that will as they say correct this problem. Are there others out there that are having this problem. Engine and engine cooling
