In owners' own words

While traveling, noticed gears were hard to shift. Consumer was unable to shift. Dealer has serviced vehicle at consumer's cost. Dealer replaced clutch pedal bracket. *Ak two days after the clutch was fixed there was a loud snap when the pedal was depressed. It was found that the clutch pedal was defective. It was replaced at consumers expense and the squeak noise returned. Power train
Bracket broke resulting in clutch being inoperable. The bracket was welded by the local Toyota dealer and replaced. It broke again on 5/10/2001 at 95364 miles with the same result. This time it was taken to a different Toyota dealer and they replaced the part. Contacted Toyota customer service and they said they are unaware of any recall for this part. *Ak Power train
When placing the clutch in gear consumer noticed there is vibration in the front end. Also when the clutch is placed in gear and upon depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle is at a death stop rpm race. Consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer stated the clutch burned out and need replacement. Please provide any further details. Power train
