Engine rod failed causing metal to go through the engine damaging it, a few months later while driving the engine began making a loud noise then the vehicle suddenly shut off resulting in loss of steering capability, it was determined that a rod cap disconnected and hit the oil pan, the consumer has replaced to engines in less than one year and feels these failures are not normal wear and tear. Engine would make clinging & banging noises when trying to get engine to start. Took vehicle to dealer. Was informed by mechanic the flanging that holds the crankshaft in place was the cause of problem. It had broken loose from the welding. This caused it wobble. It also bored a hole in the engine short block. Its the reason for not starting. Engine and engine cooling
Emits a strong odor of fuel or exhaust into the cabin, and around the car. Previously, they claim to have addressed it, but mitsu asks me to bring it back to let them look again. This is unbearable, and probably unsafe. I think they want me to bring it in at their convenience, and they will not fix it unless you help them see the importance. Engine and engine cooling
