Approaching an intersection, brakes were applied with no braking action occurring. The antilock system made noises as though car was on a slippery surface, but road was clear and dry with no loose gravel. Brake pedal was then pushed very hard, again with no braking action. The car proceeded into the intersection impacting another vehicle. Both drivers received minor injuries. The Blazer was a total loss. Service brakes, hydraulic
Driving 35mph & started to apply brakes. Was in 2- lane traffic & was making a left hand turn on green light. There was a metal expansion joint in the road and vehicle hit metal expansion joint which was wet due to rain. Vehicle started to slide. Abs detected a problem, but had no brakes to stop. Pedal did not go to the floor. Vehicle nearly hit an 18 wheeler ahead, but slid past onto shoulder & stopped. Service brakes, hydraulic
