The contact owns a 1993 Lincoln Town Car. The contact parked the vehicle in the garage and approximately fifteen minutes later, the vehicle caught fire and destroyed his home. The contact's wife suffered several burns and the contact found recall # 99v124000 (electrical system). The contact has pictures, fire reports, and police reports. Anti theft alarm system goes off at all times of the day and/or night for no apparent reason. We have had this vehicle in on numerous occasions with no success in solving the problem. I purchased a used 1993 Lincoln Town Car on dec 17. On december 19 the vehicle caught fire in the garage. It had not been driven since purchase or stared. Fire caused severe damage to garage. Completely burned the car. Fire department came and the investigator stated it was speed control , since I just purchased the vehicle I was unaware of the recall.
